Steve and Tommy Higginbotham honored Ozark's Company Driver of the Year and Runner-up for 2010. The top honor went to Scott Green, and the Runner-up went to Mitchell Boggess. |
Scott Green - Driver of the Year |  | Scott started driving for Ozark in August of 2008. He has done an excellent job and has been an asset to Ozark in many ways. Scott resides in Earlington Kentucky with his wife of 23 years, Donna. Scott has 3 step children and 6 grandchildren. | | Scott's career in the trucking industry started in 1976 spanning more than three decades. Scott hauled commercial explosives from 1976 until 1999. Scott attended Kentucky Tech to become a diesel mechanic. Before becoming a truck driver, he served in the Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer in three different submarines between 1971 and 1976. In his spare time, which he said he has very little, Scott enjoys fishing and is a member of the Masons Lodge in Nebo Kentucky. "Scott Green is a very pleasant man, driver and coworker. He calls if he has any questions or issues with a load or preplan immediately. Should a problem arise during a load, he is quick to advise me which allows me to cover other issues with shipper, receiver and customer. As Scott and I were talking the day of the presentation, he said the same thing I told him during our phone orientation, “communication is the name of the game”, and this is so true. He is a great driver, efficient and always timely with everything. It is a pleasure to work with drivers such as Scott Green. He makes my job more enjoyable! Thanks for the great job you do Scott, for me and for Ozark!!"

Mitchell Boggess - Runner-up Driver of the Year
|  | Mitchell came to Ozark after more than 17 years with Shoney's as a driver. When they closed in 2008, Mitchell moved on. He had a short stint hauling cars and then came to Ozark in 2009. Mitchell does an outstanding job for Ozark. | | Mitchell hales from Le Roy, West Virginia where he lives with his wife of 23 years, Anna. Mitchell and Anna have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time Mitchell enjoys hunting, fishing and camping with the whole family. "Mitch has been a very good driver to work with since day one. He always does his job professionally. On the rare occasion he has to call in, he is always polite. Mitch will go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mitch and his wife, and they are both pleasant and friendly. I nominated Mitch because he always gives 110%. I am delighted to be his Driver Manager."
